Night Stand or Side Table...SOLD

If you had seen this piece before I got my hands on it, you probably wouldn't have looked twice. It was nothing special and its top coat was coming off so badly it looked like it was headed for the trash. Glad I can see a diamond in the rough because she turned out beautifully!

To create this gorgeous look, I stripped the top coat and dated stain and re-stained it in an Old English color to give it a rich feel. Then I added a coat of polyurethane to make it durable. After that I sanded the bottom portion and drawers and painted them a light grey. I reattached the original hardware and distressed it for a shabby chic, country feel.

They sure don't make furniture like they used to which is why I love to salvage older pieces. This one features dove tail drawers and has a long life left in it yet! You could use it for a night stand or a side table for your sofa or favorite chair. It measures 23 in. tall x 15 in. deep x 24 in. long.

Thanks for looking ~Kell

Jewelry Armoire ~ SOLD

You can't go wrong with this beautifully refinished Tiffany & Co. inspired tone, jewelry armoire.

What better way to house all of your precious pieces then in this all wood armoire. When I got my hands on it, it needed some elbow grease and that is what I have given it. I gave it some needed love, sanded the whole thing and painted it a popular shade of Tiffany & Co. aqua. I then reapplied the original hardware and gave the piece a good distressing to add to its character. The inside has a fun coral / pink velvet which is very popular right now! It features a top console with a mirror, 2 side swinging doors complete with 6 hooks each for hanging your necklaces, 4 drawers {2 of which are slotted for earrings or bracelets, 1 that contains a ring divider and 1 that is open to house anything you desire}. This gorgeous piece also has a door that swings open on the bottom for keeping larger pieces at bay.

What a beautiful piece that you won't want to hide away.
This armoire stands 35 in. tall x 15 3/4 in. wide x 14 in. deep.

Patio Furniture Set ~ SOLD

This is a great deal!

I have a beautiful 5 piece all wood patio furniture set for sale. When it came to me it needed some love! I have sanded the entire set and painted it a very fun and happy shade of yellow using an exterior paint so that it will have a long life. I also distressed it a bit to give it more character.

The set includes 1 table {measuring 72" long x 40" wide x 31" tall}, 2 armed chairs {measuring 25 1/4" wide x 19" deep x 36" tall}, and 2 full size benches {measuring 60 3/4" long x 14" wide x 17" tall} and will seat 8-10 people! The table contains an umbrella hole and an extension cord so you can string some lights up if you'd like!

What a fun addition to any outdoor space!

*Please note that 2 of the wood slabs on the table top are warped adding to its character, but the set is in great working condition and very sturdy {no wobbling} with all parts and pieces intact.

French Provincial Table...SOLD

I found a beautiful old french provincial table at a garage sale that had a lot of life left in it, so life is what I gave it!

I started by stripping the old stain off the top and re-staining it in an old english color giving it a deep richness. Then I sanded the rest and painted it a beautiful light grey color. Once it dried, I distressed it giving it a gorgeous shabby chic finish.

I have since added 3 pieces to my garage {which can no longer be parked in...sorry hubby} that I am in the process of re-doing. I will add some before and after pictures when I finish them.

Thanks for having a look. ~Kell

Chair Re-do...UNAVAILABLE

Recently I was given a chair by a good friend that was in pretty bad condition. I had a lot of fun with this one!! It was a lot easier than most pieces...hardly any sanding required! That equals a happy Kellie! I am quite pleased with the way it turned out and as fate would have it...it fits perfectly in the corner of our master bedroom. Sorry hubby, another piece of furniture has taken up permanent residence.

Beautiful Teal Dresser...UNAVAILABLE

More recently, I ran across an older dresser at a garage sale and had to have it. I painted it a really fun teal to give it a more updated look. My hubby keeps trying to get me to part ways with it {he thinks we have too much furniture as it is} but that will never happen! I LOVE IT!! It gives my Arizona home {aka...NO STORAGE} more places to hide my c.r.a.p.!! Isn't she a beaut...

Kitchen Table and Chairs...SOLD

This piece has been completely transformed! When I got it, it had certainly seen better days and those better days needed to be brought back to life which is what I've done!

I started by stripping the original stain off the surface of the table and re-staining it in an Old English color giving it a deep rich finish and then applied 2 coats of polyurethane for a very durable and smooth finish. Then I sanded the base of the table and chairs and repainted them using a paint sprayer for an even "no brush stroke" finish in a beautiful tan color so as to give it a very neutral feel. After that I recovered the four chairs in a fun fabric with a bold green and black print. And finally, I gave it a light distressed treatment to give it a shabby chic, country type feel!

This table and chairs would look great in your eat-in kitchen, beautiful dining room, game room, craft room, toy room or wherever you have need.

The table is round in shape and measures 45 in. across and stands 30 in. tall. The chairs are 45 in. tall x 18.5 in. deep x 21 in. wide.

Small chest...SOLD

That title sounds bad. It's not what you think because that is what my next piece is...a small chest. I found it and knew I had to have it! It has a very reto feel to it and so that is how I kept it.

I started by sanding the entire piece and then I painted it a very reto green. It was a perfect match because the two go hand in hand. Once that piant was dry I distressed it...notice a trend here? I have a thing for the shabby chic look!

I could not be happier with the way it turned out!

Hope you like it, too! ~Kell

How it started...

Well it's official! I have been toying with the idea of buying old furniture and loving it back to life all with the intent to turn around and sell it for a while now. I have always had a passion for painting things and old furniture is my most recent of loves.

What started my wheels turning you ask...well, I found an old dresser on the side of the road a few years back that a donation company would not even accept...that's how bad off it was. I happened to see the potential and asked the owners if I could take it off their hands. They happily obliged! That piece now adorns my home and the time, effort and sweat that was put in to it was WELL WORTH IT!! I love the piece and am so happy to call it mine!

From there...it was all down hill. If you've ever painted furniture you are well aware that it is not the easiest thing to do. It takes a lot of prep work and time. If you've done it once and have the actual desire to do it again...you are in a good place. That's how it started for me...I finished 2 projects and was left longing for more!

So here's to living the dream ~Kell
