Awesome 14 Drawer Mid Century Dresser...SOLD

This one is for the books...I LOVE its size...I LOVE its storage space...I LOVE its pencil legs...I LOVE its original gold-toned hardware...I could go on and on but I'll stop now :)

I refinshed this solid oak piece in a gorgeous shade of gray called "Stone Mason" by Valspar and it is the perfect pairing with the original hardware that adorns this dresser. I had to replace the legs because the rings on the bottom had all fallen off so they are now new and sturdy.

What an amazing changing table, entry way table, buffet, TV console, or just about any kind of storage you could think up! I seriously LOVE this dresser!!

All together it stands 69.5 in. long x 18 in. deep x 33 in. tall and features a whopping 14 {dove tailed} drawers! The top 5 are 14.75 in. deep x 11.5 in. deep and sink 3 in., the outer 6 are 24.75 in. long x 14.75 in. deep and sink 5.25 in. while the remaining 3 middle drawers sit 11.5 in. wide x 14.75 in. deep and sink 5.25 in.

I hope you're having a nice weekend ~Kell

Beautiful Tall 9 Drawer Dresser...SOLD

What a beautiful piece of furniture this is! It is made by Kathy Ireland and retails for far more than I am asking. It is taller than the average dresser so it would be awesome as a TV console but would be the perfect statement piece for any room, really! I painted it Du Jour white for a clean and classy feel and distressed it to add character!

All together it measures 64 in. long x 18 in. deep x 40 in. tall. The cubby is 25.5 in. long x 15.75 in, deep x 13.5 in. tall. The side 6 drawers {all of which are dove tailed} measure 12 in. long x 14 in. deep with the top 2 sinking 3 in. and the bottom 4 sinking 3.75 in. The top middle drawer is 23.25 in. long x 14 in. deep and sinks 3 in. while the bottom 2 measure 25.25 in. long x 15.75 in. deep and sink 13.5 in. That is a lot of storage!!

One thing to note is that there are some spots on the top that would not sand out. They are not extremely noticeable and in no way interfere with the dressers performance. To replace to top would cost around $30. That is why this dresser is a smokin' deal!! I would have replaced it but it doesn't bother me :) I think it adds to the personality of the piece. Just wanted to make you aware!

Thanks for taking a peek ~Kell

Beautiful Dresser for a Client...

I don't know if you remember the blue dresser I recently sold? Well I had a darling girl eyeing it for her nursery but the color just wasn't the right fit. As luck would have it I had a dresser that suited her needs perfectly and could custom finish it in white which was what she had been hoping for.
I won't say it was an easy process, though! She had hoped we could distress it in gold which seemed easy enough, right? WRONG! :) I decided to use gold spray paint just under the spots I intended to distress. Simple enough. Well little did I know that the sheen was too high for the top coat to adhere. Boy, oh boy was that a doozy!! Like I said, she wanted it distressed but the paint was peeling off like a good old piece of dead skin after a sunburn which is a satisfying feeling...but not when a dresser is involved!! YIKES! I ended up having to strip the entire thing and start from scratch. The end result was worth the sweat and tears :) It turned out amazing and will look absolutely adorable in her nursery!
Happy weekend ~Kell

Executive desk for a client...

I had a client that had purchased an executive desk with an abundance of storage. It is a gorgeous desk but she wanted it white (and I can't say I blame her...it's my favorite too!)
So after many hours of work...most of which were spent taking off and reapplying the hardware :)... I give you the "before" and "after" shots...

Happy Sunday, all ~Kell

P.S. Sorry the pictures are in my garage and you have to see my lawnmower in the backdrop...hehehe!

Custom Bunk Beds...

I love it when a client comes to me with a bright color in mind! It allows me to see things through their eyes and this time that happened to be a young boy. His room adorned a bunk bed that had been in his family for years and obviously belonged to a girl previously...the purple accent color and flower knobs may have been the first give away...hehehe! Well, he was ready for a color scheme that fit his style which came in the form of a "party"...Pool Party that is {by Valspar}. I love how it turned out, especially the silver rungs which are the perfect finishing touch. Hope it's all he ever dreamed it would be...pardon the pun!
