My King Louie Chairs Are FINALLY Complete...

I can't even begin to explain my happy dance, peeps! I scored this amazing set of King Louie chairs for the most amazing price and was not about to part ways with them once I began the labor of love that went into finishing them. Let's just say I have never seen that many staples in my LIFE! I first posted them here if you need a reminder of what I'm talking about.
What started out as a not so pretty set turned into the most amazing match of old and classic paired with modern and unique. I could not be more thrilled! After months of telling people they couldn't sit in them because there were no cushions...they can finally be used...YAY!!!
I hope you have a happy dance kind of day ~Kell

Beautiful Bedroom Set For A Friend...

My summer has kept me very busy as I am sure yours has too! I LOVE this time of year. Having my kiddos home and not having a hectic routine is my favorite but I will be honest that once school starts and our schedules get back on track I smile. I thrive on a schedule...that might be my OCD talking :)
Back to the busy summer though...I have had a blast cleaning out my garage of project pieces and finishing furniture for friends! Here is a set that I finished for a friend last month and totally spaced posting about. It was a beautiful 5 piece set that included a dresser, armoire, 2 nightstands, and a mirror. Hope you enjoy the before and after shots...and the last of your summer days! I am soaking up every minute I can with my kids before I cry that they have to go back to school!
Hope you'll drop by again soon ~Kell

Gorgeous Bassett Armoire...SOLD

Wow, this Bassett armoire is stunning. I love white furniture because it is timeless and classic and this TALL armoire has that same feel to me with the detail it adorns which is why I decided to paint it Du Jour by Valspar and distress it some to show its true age with an updated look. It is such a standout piece because of its size (almost 6 feet tall) and provides amazing storage with its 5 drawers and 2 cubby shelves! I also feel I should mention how sturdy this piece is. It is solid wood with dove tail joints and all of its original hardware!!

You would love an armoire like this in an office for all your papers and what have you. It would also be a perfect addition to your bathroom to store towels and toiletries. It has so many uses that you could place it just about anywhere and find a use for it.

All together it stands 68 in. tall x 38 in. wide x 19 in. deep with 3 drawers behind its tall doors that sit 28.5 in. wide x 12 in. deep and sink 5.5 in. One drawer even features a built in divider for more organization. The bottom 2 drawers measure 30.75 in. wide x 14.5 in. deep and sink 6 in. Isn't she a beaut!!

Thanks for dropping by ~Kell

Beautiful 9 Drawer Drexel Dresser...SOLD

This piece turned out amazing. I absolutely love the color Sparkling Lake by Valspar and couldn't wait to get it on this dresser. It is the perfect mix of blue, green and gray and goes really well with the Special Walnut stain I refinished the top with! I love the mild distressing as well as it gives this piece the perfect aged feel.

This dresser was made by Drexel and is solid wood with dove tail joints. Certainly this is not a cheap piece of furniture...it is in wonderful condition with all of its original hardware. All together it stands 71 in. long x 19 in. deep x 31 in. tall. It features 6 outer drawers which measure 18.5 in. long x 14.75 in. deep. The top two sink 5 in. while the bottom two sink 6.5 in. Behind the beautiful cubby doors complete with key pulls you will find 3 more drawers for additional storage. They measure 21 in. long x 13.75 in. deep. The top drawer sinks 5 in. while the bottom two sink 6.5 in.

While it makes the perfect dresser, it could also be used as a TV console, changing table, buffet, additional storage in an office or entry way. I love to think outside of the box when it comes to furniture!

Hope you're enjoying your summer ~Kell
