Depression Era Waterfall Dresser...SOLD

I had a client contact me and tell me that she was in the market for a tall dresser for her son's room. When I found this beauty I couldn't pass it up! Especially since she is the one that bought my awesome waterfall desk a while back. She, too, agreed that it was the one and decided to have me paint it black. Sadly, my camera's flash is catching the wax I finished it with. Maybe I should have her do the "after" pictures since she is a professional photographer!! Any who, I think it will fit quite nice in a young boy's room!

Hope you're enjoying your evening ~Kell

On a side note...when I was sanding this piece I came across a date stamp that read Feb. 02, 1948. How fun is that?!

Gorgeous Tallboy and Matching nightstand...SOLD

Finally complete! After months of sitting in my garage I have finished this amazingly TALL tallboy and matching nightstand. If you're looking for an overwhelming amount of bedroom storage look no further. This dresser stands 53 in. tall x 42 in. long x 18 in. deep with 5 dove tailed drawers which measure 35 in. long x 14.5 in deep. Three of them sink 5.5 in., while the other 2 are 6.5 and 7.5 in. The nightstand measures 25 in. tall x 18.5 in. long x 17 in. deep. It's 2 dove tailed drawers are 18.5 in. long x 13.5 in. deep and both sink 5.5 in.

I started off by sanding them down, painted them a beautiful shade of white called "Comet Dust" by Valspar, distressed them, sanded them again for a smooth finish, waxed them completely for protection and re-added the original hardware.

They are so pretty and would look quite stunning anywhere you decided to place them. I love every detail from the beautiful curves it features to the brass leg covers. What a statement!

Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. Thanks for dropping by ~Kell

Hello there. I know you probably think I have fallen off the face of the earth but that is far from the truth. I have been super busy doing some really fun things! If you're curious...take a look...

Here are some bunk beds I finished for a client. She wanted them to be cream. So fun...

I also finished a chair for a friend. It had seen years of wear and tear and a touch of water damage which I sanded out, stained and waxed...

My good friend is in interior design and I am so thankful to her for throwing clients my way!! I finished off some cute children's chairs in a coral color with gold glitter flecks and also made some LARGE frames for her. One of them was 80 inches tall...

I've also done a few things for myself! I painted an antique mirror I found for my bedroom...

I also painted one for my girls' closet...

And finally, I made some cute decorations from some old wooden fence slats my mom gave me! Thanks mom!!

Box shelves...

And a really awesome deer that I freehanded and finished with glitter...

Life keeps me busy which I love ♥ Stay tuned! There's always something going on at my house!! ~Kell

Retro Dresser and Nightstands...SOLD

I don't know if you remember the darling yellow French provincial dresser I finished not too long ago? If not, you can refer to my last post. Well, that sold faster than I think any piece I have done has gone. I had a few sad people about that but am so happy because it went to a darling couple that are expecting their first baby whose nursery it will adorn. So fun!!

Well, I was contacted by a darling lady that had wanted that dresser for her daughter’s room but it was gone too quickly. Normally I finish one piece before I purchase a new project to finish but as fate would have it, she asked if I had anything that I was going to be finishing. Low and behold I have a little stockpile in my garage right now and had a darling set that worked perfect for what she needed. Here they are in all their glory...

I absolutely LOVE these pieces!! They are the perfect fit for the fun yellow that I painted them and will be awesome for the tween bedroom they are moving into! Hope my client is as thrilled as I am!

Thanks for dropping in ~Kell

9 Drawer French Provincial Dresser {Round Two}...SOLD

Well, I must say that I don't think I have ever had a hate~love relationship with a piece of furniture like I did this one. I know, I know, most people say love~hate...I saved the love for last because that is the order in which it happened!
When I picked this piece up it screamed potential at the same time appearing quite defeated. I am very much so convinced that it was trying to kill me...with sanding that is. 2 THICK coats of paint stripper could not come close to removing what was glopped on to this beauty. Good thing I love furniture and can see the potential that most can't making it possible to save this piece from the graveyard commonly known as "the dump".

As mentioned, I stripped this piece twice and still had to sand the heck out of it!!! I decided that this one merited a HAPPY facelift and decided to paint it a fun shade of yellow which, I don't know about you, but it makes me smile. Once it was dry I applied a coat of wax and attached its original hardware that had taken a day long bath in mineral spirits to get the purple and glow in the dark paint off of it. And just to add one more happy feature...I lined the drawers with a beautiful black and white contact paper. I love finishing touches! Enter "LOVE" ♥

In all, the dresser measures 57.5 in. wide x 17.5 in. deep x 31.5 in. tall and has 9 drawers {with dove tail construction} that are all the same size: 13.5 in wide x 15.75 in. deep on plunge 6.25 in.

Hope you're having a nice day...I am about to enjoy a nice glass of fresh squeezed lemonade made from lemons off our tree! I love this time of year in Sunny Arizona ~Kell
