If you love the shabby chic farmhouse look then you are going to drool over this piece! When I got it I thought at first glance that it wouldn't need TOO much work...hahaha! Well simply put, I was wrong. It had no backing which is a stabilizer and immediately I knew it needed bead board...which screams farmhouse to me! It also needed new wood for the shelves. The original parts were coming up on the edges and were very flimsy. I laugh because when I put so much love into a piece the small transformation that you see is quite large for me...and I love all that behind the scenes stuff! It also needed a good cleaning, sanding, paint in all the cubbies; I re-stained the top after filling in some imperfections and waxed it to seal it up.
I LOVE the finished product!! It is absolutely stunning and would look amazing as a TV console, credenza, changing table, buffet, entry table, or additional storage with baskets for an office.
All together it stands 66" long x 22" deep x 35" tall. The side cubbies are 17.5" tall x 21" deep with an opening of 13". The middle two cubbies are 31" wide x 19.5" deep; the tops opening is 4" tall and the bottoms is 8.5".
Happy start to your weekend, all! I hope it's a great one ~Kell
